The beginnings

Unimasoft was born at the end of summer 1998 from the collaboration between Lionel Audant, philosophy teacher at Cegep Garneau, and Pascal Audant, his son, software engineer and teacher at the same Cegep. At the beginning they were trying to integrate the language of images into the traditional teaching process, in the framework of virtual learning on the Web. The firm was started up on January 15, 2003, from these first attempts to associate philosophical text to animation sequences illustrating the ideas therein.

Unima now holds many filed patents covering the implementation of a general theory of animation capable to convert text into animated sequences.
